The history of the company dates back to the early 1950s, when Józef Tyl began manufacturing umbrella handles. Soon, the production was expanded to include walking sticks, and over the years new models and designs were added. The then prevailing political system in Poland significantly hampered the development of the company. However, despite the obstacles from the authorities, the company survived the hardest years and after the reformation of the Polish state it was able to develop in new, better conditions. From 1981 to 2013 the family business was fully taken over by the founder s son Damian Tyl continuing the family tradition. In 1998 the company moves to a new, bigger building – thus the conditions at workplaces are improved and the range of produced canes is extended. In 2004, the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System is implemented and confirmed by a certificate, which contributes to a better selection of raw materials and even greater attention to each stage of production. The price, quality and safety of the products offered are quickly recognised by customers, also those outside Poland. Also the acquired experience and production capabilities make the company a leader in the production of canes on the domestic market. The recipients of the products are people with movement and posture difficulties, as well as those who want to complement their outfit with an elegant accessory – it is for them that new and unique designs of walking sticks are created. Since 2014 the owner of the company is Łukasz Tyl cultivating not only the family tradition of cane production, but also the passion accompanying it from the beginning.
