The company Nanosol was founded in 1995 as a spin-off of the INM, Institute for New Materials of the University of Saarbrücken. As the first company worldwide in analytics and research, Nanosol already at that time developed and produced coatings of the inner and outer surface of needles and tubes with nanocomposites. Since then, Nanosol has been applying these innovative coating systems with great success to components used in diagnostic laboratory equipment. The core competence Our core competence is the production of precision mechanical components, mainly hollow needles made of steel, as well as the wet-chemical coating of surfaces using novel materials and technologies according to customer-specific requirements. For the production of precision mechanical components such as needles, we use high-quality stainless steels with the finest surface finish. For coating, we mainly use coating materials produced and applied using nanotechnology and advanced surface modification techniques.
