SAVES LIFE. EVERYWHERE. The seventies. A time of upheaval and innovation. The first Opel Manta rolls off the production line, Microsoft and Apple are born in Silicon Valley. In Rottweil, Heinz Bucher founded Metrax GmbH in 1973. People in the seventies were more aware of their lives and placed great value on health and wellness. And so Metrax's self-developed wellness devices are right on the pulse of the times. Made on site, Made in Germany. A tradition that obligates, and which we maintain to this day. In the 1980s, emergency medicine in Germany made great strides. The emergency doctor system is established, and the ADAC puts Germany's first civilian rescue helicopter, the 'Christoph 31', into operation in Berlin. Metrax develops its first portable defibrillators for medical practices and clinics under the brand name PRIMEDIC: the Defi-N and Defi-B. This entry into medical technology marks the start of a successful series of defibrillators for emergency medicine that continues to this day. The DefiMonitor-DM series of the 1990s added ECG monitoring and oxygen saturation to our defibrillators, thus reliably combining diagnostic and therapeutic options in one handy and portable device. Since then, we have continuously supplemented and further developed the DefiMonitor series and, in addition, designed a series of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for first aid applications with the HeartSave series. This means that PRIMEDIC defibrillators reliably cover all areas of application in emergency medicine - whether first aiders, medical practices, rescue services or clinics. Sophisticated and safe technology, simple operation, high quality and absolute reliability even under extreme conditions - these are just some of the many distinctive features of our PRIMEDIC defibrillators. First responders and professional users around the world rely on the performance and reliability of our products every day.
