MEDGAL was established in February 1982 by its current owner, Eng. Józef Borowski, and has since then been dynamically developing, strengthening its position in the medical market. Initially, the company focused on precision mechanics, but from the second half of the 1980s, MEDGAL shifted its focus to the design, production, and sale of medical devices, particularly orthopedic implants. In the 1990s, the company began producing its first orthopedic implants, which were initially relatively simple constructions. Over time, thanks to continuous investment in research and development, the implants became increasingly complex and technologically advanced. In the second half of the 1990s, MEDGAL's design and technology department intensified efforts to develop the design and manufacturing technology of interlocking intramedullary nails for the treatment of long bone fractures, as well as the instruments for their implantation. MEDGAL was the first company in Poland to offer hip joint endoprostheses, and to date, over 8,000 implants have been performed both domestically and abroad. Our products enjoy an excellent reputation in many international markets. With more than 20 unique technologies at our disposal, MEDGAL stands out among its competitors. Our production relies on state-of-the-art machinery from Japan, Switzerland, and Germany, ensuring precision and the highest quality of our products. The raw materials used in the production process are carefully selected and sourced exclusively from trusted suppliers in Europe, which further underscores our commitment to quality and safety. One of our key technologies is the patented Si-DLC (silicon and carbon) coating method, which distinguishes our implants in the market. This coating is not only hypoallergenic but also significantly enhances the biocompatibility of the implants, resulting in better treatment outcomes and higher patient comfort.
