HEXPOL TPE is an international polymer compounding group specialising in Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE). We were among the 1st companies to produce TPEs in Europe, and more than 50 years later, the possibilities continue to inspire us – yes, were self-confessed TPE freaks! Our international teams work with customers around the world, developing new polymer combinations and creating customised materials that are safer, more durable, more sustainable. At COMPAMED we will present the Mediprene range of TPE materials. Representative grades have passed cytotoxicity tests according to ISO 10993-5 and biocompatibility tests according to ISO 10993-4 (hemolysis), ISO 10993-10 (Intracutaneous Reactivity and Sensitization), ISO 10993-11 (Acute Systemic Toxicity) and USP Class VI. We recently launched the Mediprene Mass Balance Thermoplastic Elastomers with bio-attributed content according to the mass balance principle. They were developed to enable the shift away from fossil resources and support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, while ensuring the quality, properties and regulatory status remain the same.
