A handheld barcode scanner accessory designed for use in operating rooms to electronically document medication administration. When a clinician waves an SLS-prepared syringe or prefilled syringe past the scanner, it captures Drug Code data and transmits it to the AIMS/EHR system, automatically displaying drug name, concentration, and allergy information. The scanner mounts via included bracket to an AIMS/EHR monitor or IV pole and connects via USB, enabling hands-free documentation at the point of administration to improve medication safety, workflow efficiency, and charge capture.
