UV Systec GmbH - Your expert for UVC disinfection More than 30 years of expertise in UV (disinfection technology) For your needs for UV components from lamps, ballasts and UV monitoring to reactors, control cabinets and systems Our story began in the early 1990s UV Systec GmbH was founded in the early 1990s in Jena/Thuringia and took over the UV division from ABB AG (Switzerland). For many years, UV SYSTEC GmbH belonged to PVA TEPLA AG. From 01.08.2008 to 31.03.2011, UV SYSTEC was a branch of uv-technik Speziallampen GmbH Wümbach with its managing partner Karl-Heinz Meyer. During this time, production was relocated to the site in Bucha (near Jena). UV Systec GmbH was spun off from uv-technik Speziallampen GmbH on April 1, 2011 under the management of Karl-Heinz Meyer and has been operating as an independent company ever since. Since 2017, the management has been transferred to Mr. René Plank, who has been with the company since 2001. Between 1995 and 2019, the company manufactured complete systems for UV disinfection of surfaces in the food packaging sector and UV high-performance low-pressure lamps for water and wastewater disinfection. Many well-known customers were supplied. The low-pressure high-power lamps used in the systems were long considered to be the most powerful lamps on the market ( 70 mW/cm²). The design and manufacture of the lamps was very complex. This led to a large machine park and enormous specialization of the employees. Due to competition in the market, these products had to be discontinued at the end of 2019. Since 2022, this completely revised product has been manufactured again in the old design, but with significantly improved cost-effectiveness (reduced costs for purchase, spare parts and lower energy consumption). Other business areas include consulting and the sale of UV components to system manufacturers, dealers and end customers worldwide in the field of UV disinfection with externally sourced UVC low-pressure lamps, UVC medium-pressure lamps, ballasts and UV measurement technology. Consulting and sales of OEM devices from German partners for air, water and surface disinfection Packaging and assembly of devices, mechanical assemblies and accessories (connection cables, control cabinets, fume hoods, reactors, plasma lamps, etc.) Since 01.06.2023 UV Systec GmbH has moved to a new, more efficient location in Saalfeld, Thuringia.
